NBP was founded in 1960 by George M. Nottingham, Jr., a member of the Georgia Institute of Technology Engineering Hall of Fame.  Since the beginning, NBP has provided mechanical and electrical expertise to both the public and private sectors, earning Engineering Excellence National Finalist Awards and Excellence in Energy Conservation Conscious Design Awards.

NBP has grown from a single man operation in 1960 to a 36 person firm.  Through the years, NBP has remained focused on a dedication to the quality of each design produced, whether large or small.  We have maintained quality while using CADD and computerization of the design process to increase production without large additions to our staff.  Our computerization includes in-house programs for load calculations and document generation and control.  However, while utilizing this computerization we never lose sight of the human factor needed to produce quality designs.

As a mid-size firm, NBP prides itself in its ability to handle the demands of large projects while being able to focus on the smallest details.  We assure each client that one of the six Principals will lead each project with a second Principal, or senior staff member, maintaining involvement to ensure a knowledgeable lead is available for the client at all times.  NBP has successfully completed projects from a few thousand dollars to over $80 million in construction costs. The diverse backgrounds and extensive problem solving experience, acquired by our professionals while completing thousands of projects, allow the firm to be continually successful on many levels.

With a firm focus on meeting the needs of the client and users during design, the construction process and follow-up, NBP has exceeded expectations on thousands of projects.  Our constant goal is to verify that contractors conform to the documents and that the original specifications are implemented to better serve our clients and provide the quality they expect and deserve.  Each decision is made with the client and end user in mind.
