
Merry A. Harris, CPD, CIPE

Plumbing & Fire Protection Department Head
Merry joined NBP in 1985 and is certified in Plumbing Engineering by the American Society of Plumbing Engineers. She has received training from Macon State College, Wesleyan College and Central Georgia Technical College. Over the years, Merry has become proficient in the designing of hot and cold water systems, waste systems, medical gas systems, drain systems, and roof overflow systems for educational facilities, laboratories, dormitories, resident centers, manufacturing complexes, jails, courthouses, education facilities and churches.

George M. Nottingham, III, CPD, CIPE
Senior Associate
George graduated from the Civil Engineering program at Southern Polytechnic State University in 1973. After serving in the US Navy, George joined NBP in 1983. He is a graduate of Southern Building Code Congress International Automatic Sprinkler Institute and is Certified in Plumbing Engineering by the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (CIPE) and Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD). George has extensive experience designing education facilities, administrative buildings, historic renovations, computer centers, and laboratories and is highly proficient in designing wet, dry, preaction and halon facilities.

Wilson H. Dent, P.E., LEED AP
Associate
After receiving his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Mercer University, Wilson joined NBP in 2002. Wilson became a registered Professional Engineer in 2006, an Associate of the firm in 2008 and a LEED Accredited Professional in 2009. Wilson has extensive experience serving as both Lead Plumbing and Fire Protection designer for education facilities, administrative buildings, laboratories and religious facilities.

Dale R. Heiring, P.E., LEED AP
Associate
Dale received his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Mercer University in 2001. He has served as an HVAC designer for six years with NBP. Dale became a Registered Professional Engineer in 2006, an Associate of the firm in 2008 and a LEED Accredited Professional in 2009. Dale is highly proficient in building HVAC load calculations, new system design and system renovations. He has extensive facility experience with educational facilities, recreational facilities, laboratories and religious facilities.

Jeremy M. Knowles, P.E., LEED AP
Associate
While pursuing his Bachelor of Chemical Engineer from The Georgia Institute of Technology, Jeremy co-oped as an Outside Plant Engineer with BellSouth and interned as a drafter and mechanical designer. Jeremy joined NBP in 2004 after working for three years with the Georgia Department of Agriculture as a Construction Project Manager. In 2009, he has become a registered Professional Engineer, a LEED Accredited Professional and an Associate of the firm. He has extensive experience in drawings and specifications, construction administration and project management. He has designed churches, libraries, classrooms, administrative buildings, laboratories, K4-12 facilities, and technical colleges.
